We went to a mini open house( organized by some members of a local group on Ravelry)at a local fibre and meat producing farm in the Pontiac area this morning. The owners of the farm are very friendly, wonderful people who told us about their operations, showed us around, and let the kids run mildly wild (climbing on the tractor and the Polaris) while trying to pet the horses and some of the sheep and goats. Caleigh discovered where eggs come from(bonus is we got to bring home 5 farm fresh-meaning still warm-eggs). I picked out some roving, but wasn't prepared enough, so I brought 1 home with me, and the rest have my name and # on them to be paid for/picked up very soon(probably next weekend).
