Beginning of Fall

I'm going to try to do at least weekly posts here. We've been busy this past week. It seems like you spend a lot of time waiting for things like roofs, but then just when you think nothing is going to happen for a while, everything  happens all at once.

We went from having old shingles, to having supplies delivered to having most of  our new roof on all in the space of 24 hours (supplies dropped 3pm Thursday, phone call around 4pm that day that roofers would be there 8am next day). Unfortunately, not enough supplies were ordered, so once side of our roof has been unfinished this weekend. Two more boxes were couriered out Friday and arrived yesterday, so everything will be done tomorrow before 10am!!! I love it already, and people are already slowing down to look as they go by.

In other news, the pile of wood we had a visit from bylaw about (darned people getting panties in a wad and not speaking with us first) is now cut to length, split to size and stacked neatly.
