After I made one of the knitted hoods like the main character in The Golden Compass wears for another little girl, Caleigh decided that's what she wanted for her birthday. She chose a yarn with lots of bright colours in it that I wasn't sure looked all that great in the skein, but looks great knitted up(I think). I just have to finish with the tie-cords and it's done, well in advance of her birthday!
I'm also part way through a ruffled hat for a friend's soon to be born neice. I'm not using the yarn called for in the pattern, but the baby yarn I had on hand was in boy colours(blue and green), and this one has pinks, green, and brown in it.
